This is the bio for John Esslinger
 | I was born and raised in Waldport, a town on the central coast of Oregon, USA. Growing up in a small, rural town taught me to respect and love the outdoors. A stint in the US Coast Guard gave me the chance to see the world and I was hooked – cities, mountains, countryside, I love it all and I’ve been very lucky to have been able to spend time all over the world.
I found my passion for photography later then some. It was always something I was interested in but never had the time that it required to get the skills needed. Then my wife got a job in London and we moved in 2008. The deal she made with me was that I could follow any dream I wanted so it gave me my chance to dig into my photography and learn. I’ve never looked back. My inspirations are far reaching – I find magic from the smallest insect to the biggest landscape. I see magic in crumbling urban structures, majestic animals, scruffy pets and vast mountain ranges. To say I’m lucky is an understatement. The opportunity I’ve been given to follow my dream is one I don’t take lightly. I just hope my wife doesn’t notice the dishes I’ve let sit because I’ve been out taking photo’s all night! My hope is that you’ll enjoy the images I capture, that they bring you joy and that my passion make your day just a little bit better. |
